I did my training with Relate, the specialists in relationship counselling, and have worked for Relate for ten years. I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy BACP

Most of the problems we struggle with involve relationships whether it is at home with partners and family, at work, school or with friends. These issues can leave us feeling very alone, anxious, frightened and stressed. Counselling provides a safe place to talk, to make sense of feelings and help you work out what you want for yourself.
I work with single adults, couples, parents and young people from the age of ten.
I can offer support in improving your relationship, working out if you are in the right relationship or coping with the ending of a relationship. You may want to come on your own or with your partner.

I have wide experience of helping children deal with the experience of their parent’s separation and divorce and perhaps getting to grips with a new situation in a step family.

These are events that can lead to a loss of confidence and self esteem affecting relationships with friends and performance at school. It is also a time when children seem more likely to be involved in bullying either as the bully or the victim.

Young people can find relief in talking to a counsellor in confidence about their fears and worries at a time when they may find it particularly difficult to talk to parents and friends.

It maybe as the parent involved in a separation you are concerned about how to tell the children and ways to support them and would like to talk through your concerns.

I recognize that making the first step to seek help can be difficult but I would like to encourage you to contact me for an initial appointment. There is no obligation to proceed for ongoing counselling.

I charge £40 a session but concessions may be available.
